Concrete’s durability is its ability to resist deterioration, influenced by factors like water-to-cement ratio, aggregate packing, reinforcement type, curing, environment, and finishing. Its porous nature allows contaminants to enter, especially through bleedwater channels. All concrete particularly reinforced can experience contaminant ingress. Chloride penetration increases the risk of steel corrosion by breaking down the protective layer around reinforcement, leading to rust.

Spray-Lock P3 Marine

SCP products reduce concrete corrosion by limiting water and contaminant ingress. The P3 line uses spray-applied colloidal silica to enhance durability and extend the lifespan of Portland cement concrete.

P3 Marine is designed for coastal and marine environments, protecting concrete from chloride and salt penetration. By working from the inside out, it improves resistance to contaminants, resulting in longer-lasting, more durable concrete with easy application.
